My horn started bl8wing on its own and wouldn't stop on a very cold night, removed fuse to stop it..can a horn relay switch cause this? No prob b4 and if so where is the relay on a 2000 sunfire..

Bought a 1992 acura vigor and found horn fuse missing. when I replaced the fuse alarm goes off and constantly sounds. how do I stop it? I've read that there's a relay somewhere under the hood

horn relay located on the right side kick panel,you will see a row of relays,if horn relay is okay, more likely your horn control pad has a short inside causing horn button contacts to stick causing horn to keep blowing.

Horn won't stop

if you unplug the clock spring on the back side and the horn will stop then remove the air bag and check the switches and wires inside the steering wheel

Battery terminal loose. First look if your battery terminals are intact before anything.

If it is the horn that keeps going off, pull the horn fuse, that should stop it till you figure the problem. The bcm can ground the control side of horn relay as well as the horn switch. I'm not saying the bcm is faulty, I don't know, at the moment.

Horn won't stop blow'n

Two things could have happened to cause this. The horn switch in the steering wheel horn pad is stuck or the relay has failed. To stop the horn from blowing remove the horn relay. Usually in a fuse box under the hood square shaped. You can some times pull the horn fuse and this may stop it also. The owners manual should have these component locations. 2001 mitsubishi gallant horn goes off in the middle of the night on cold nights sometimes will go off if you hit the horn but lately we had to unhook the battery to get it to stop

my 97 eclipse did same thing so I had to remove horn relay which is temp.solution but completely immobolizes horn usage.

1997 transport horn does not sound

There is a relay in the fuse box of the car. The most likely cause of the horn stop working would be a blown relay. Pull the relay for your horn and then the relay for your blower motor (or any other relay not need to start the car) and switch them and test the horn again. If the horn works then you need to go to the local auto parts store and ask them for a new relay for your car.

The horn on our LeSabre starts honking on its own about 1:00 in the morning. Can it be fixed without taking out the airbag?

no. the horn switch is underneath the airbag, and if the horn is activating itself late at night (when it is cold) then the switch is most likely what it is. the cold makes the plastic around the airbag and switch contract, causing the horn to make contact. if you want to just silence the horn, you can remove the horn relay in the underhood fuse box. should be labeled in the owners manual
