SOURCE: 2001 kia rio fuel pump does not work

Are you positive its the fuel pump? Have you tried running the pump with the return line off to see if it pumps fuel? They don't always have to make a noise.

SOURCE: 2003 kia rio- water pumps

If it is your first time having the timing belt changed, chances are the water pump is still in good enough shape to hold out until you are due for your next belt change. No sense throwing away money prematurely...

SOURCE: How do I change the fuel pump on a 2003 KIA Rio?

Yep, in-tank pump. Luckily you do not have to remove the tank from the car though. Remove the bottom of the backseat and there is a service panel under the seat. Remove that and it will expose the top of the tank and you can just unbolt and disconnect the pump right there. Make sure you pump/syphon as much fuel out of the tank as you can first though and also clean the area around the pump before you remove it to prevent dirt from entering tank. Once you pull the pump out have something ready to cover the hole in the tank while you prep the new pump, to keep dirt out and fumes in.

2003 kia rio- water pumps

I would follow the mechanics recommedations. I think he's taliking about the cam and crankshaft seals. Yes the water pump should be replaced as well. The pump that sprays windshield washer fluid onto the windshield is called the windshield washer pump. The water pump is on the engine and pumps water (coolant/antifreeze) through the engine to the radiator and heater core.

My Kia 2003 rio front windscreen water not working

Take off the pipe at the pump then use the washer switch and see if the water sprays out. To check if the pump is working you will need someone to use the switch while you hold your hand on the pump you should feel or hear the pump working. If the pump is going but no water spraying blow back through it and try again. If it dosent work then you will probably need a pump.

Kia Rio overheating although everything seems ok

Possible early signs of a water pump problem. A failing waterpump will circulate coolent when the RPMS are high but when you slow down, so does the waterpump, thereby causing overheating.
