Ok...I have a 2010 Camaro V6. I threw a code for cylinder one misfire. I bought a spark plug...same code. Switched coil packs...same code along with throttle body. So I bought a new throttle body...same code. I changed my accelerator pedal sensor...same code. I then changed my fuel injector...same code and same symptoms of hesitation between 35-60 sporadically throughout those parameters. Can anyone help me fix this problem? I would greatly appreciate your expertise. Thanks!

Throwing parts at is a waste of money. misfire can be one of 3 things. cam sensor or crank sensor or fuel injector. other things can can be a air leak too much air in the intake or leak in vacuum line. can also be the timing is out.. this can be the adjuster weak.

My 2010 Camaro did the same thing, I had two misfiring, for some reason after I clean the throttlebody I started it up and it was doing the same thing but when I erased the codes it's running fine. I am in no way a mechanic not even a shade tree mechanic, but what I said is true..,

SOURCE: engine code p0307 cylinder #7 misfire

It could be carbon deposits on valve seats keeping valves from totally closing. You can try getting you a can of motorcraft PM3 top end engine cleaner and get engine up to operating temp then remove one of the small vacuum lines from the intake and draw the contents of the can slowly into the engine. After you have drawn in the contents shut engine off and let it soak for about 45 minutes then crank it back up and let it run until it clears. Now it will smoke like a forrest fire while you are doing this so don't be alarmed, just tell the neighbors you are spraying for mosqitos. This may cure the problem. If not you may be looking at a valve job.
This can be verified with a compression test if this is what is causing it.

SOURCE: wont start has fuel and has spark

RC ralston
Your problem is a leak in the cpi pletium most likely the pressure line has a leak
had same problem with mine $45.00 PRESSURE LINE KIT AND $15.00 GASKET FOR PLETIUM and 2 hours labor problem sovled.
You can remove vortec cover and remove air regulator to look inside pletium. I had gas vapor on driver side . that is where fuel lines are. fuel regulator is on passenger side. turn key on and look in hole and see where fuel is spraying. taking pletium off you can again turn key on and make sure where fuel is coming from.

SOURCE: 2003 Chevy Venture misfiring

The injector is a good possibility, although you should check for spark in the wire first, as the electrical is the weakest link in the system. Put a spare plug in the end of the wire with the plug resting on metal, then have someone crank the van to see if you have spark that far, test and replace spark plug, (do not get shocked!) then look into a new injector or a good cleaning.

I wouldn't worry about the 02 code it will clear when you replace the coils. to be positive that the coils are bad, swap them with another cylinder and see if that cylinder misfires. 90% of the time it's the coil. Let me know

Misfiring. Stopped at AutoZone and computer said #6 cylinder misfiring. Do I just need to change the spark plug or get a new coil pack? Also, which plug is number 6

number 6 plug depends on what engine you have 6 cylinder or an 8 cylinder you need to be careful with that code it could be a plug , a plug wire , a coil pack . i had an issue with that code and it was the crankshaft sensor 38 dollars from an autoparts store dealer wanted 170.00 ! crank sensors have an adjustment on them a few thousands of an inch and yes it makes a difference ! hold it down while you tighten the bolt . hope this helps

sounds like spark plug coil is bad. had the same problem on my truck also. check wich cylinder is misfiring and replace the coil and maybe the plug also. if the plug looks good leave it. autozone can give you a read out. when checking the coil, if it has a rust color to it its bad and needs to be replaced. 02 z28
