lvd, Start the car, leave the shifter in park position.
Remove the transmission dip stick, wipe it clean, reinsert the dip stick and verify it is between the add and full mark.
Do not go over the full mark as that will create a slip condition caused by foaming oil.

you can get a dipstick for the transmission part # 104 589 15 2100, also there is a drain plug on the torque converter and a drain plug on the tranny pan, remove both plugs drain fluid, the book says to add 5.3qt. then warm up the transmission and check fluid with dip stick, but you don't have the dip stick. so hear is how we do it we measure all the fluid we remove and then put the same amount back in.
