The CPS for these motors is located in the front of the engine and the the timing belt cover needs to be removed to gain access. If you need further instructions on removal as well as diagrams, email me at [email protected] and I will send those immediately.

Po335

P0335 = Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
This is a sensor used to let the computer know where in the rotation the crankshaft is so it knows when to fire the sparkplugs (among other things). The sensor may be bad or just the connection.

What are error codes P0372, and P0335

Hi, these codes relate to the crankshaft position sensor. Recommend you check the sensor to make sure it is tight and the connector is fully on. If it looks in order, consider replacing the sensor. If you reply with your model and year, I will see if I can provide additional information.

P0335 Crankshaft position (CKP) sensor - circuit malfunction
Possible causes: Wiring, CKP sensor, ECM

P0372 Timing reference, high resolution signal A - too few pulses
Possible causes: Wiring, CKP/RPM/CMP sensor, ECM

I can't find the location of the crankshaft postion sensor in my 2000 Hyundai sonata

My online Sonata manual shows these possibilities, but does not identify which applies specifically to 2000 Sonata.
Also, when you talk to the dealership parts counter, you'll need to know whether your 2000 Sonata is (a) 4-cylinder 2.4L MFI DOHC engine, or (b) 6-cylinder 2.5L MFI DOHC engine.
Its easy to tell - just count your spark plug wires.

-- begine excerpt from 2000 Hyundai Sonata Repair guide --

The crankshaft position sensor is located next to the flywheel.
The crankshaft position sensor is located next to the flywheel/torque converter.
The camshaft position sensor is located on the engine near the timing belt cover and under the upper radiator hose.
The crankshaft position sensor is located on the driver-s side of the vehicle, down by the lower radiator hose.
The crankshaft position sensor is located on the engine near the crankshaft pulley.
The crankshaft position sensor is located at the front of the engine near the timing belt.

I have a 2000 hyundai Sonata, 6 cylinder eng. My

The sensor is located on the left hand rear side of the block (near the bell housing). It is held in place by a 10mm bolt. It's to the right of the exhaust manifold (LH - radiator side) on the V6. Once you purchase the new sensor you'll be able to identify it on the engine. The connector to this sensor is located in the illustration.

I have a hyundai sonata 2000 it is 2.0 16valve wont start

Firstly, what's a TDC sensor?.. the crank position sensor? If so, on the four (4) cylinder, it's located behind the timing belt cover at the crankshaft.. if it's the 2.5 V6, it's located behind the LH exhaust manifold on the engine block.

Crankshaft Position Sensor Error P0335 recurred after r&r

In the kit there are two sensor that look identical. The one for the crankshaft has a white paint mark on it near the bolt hole. Make sure that it is in the right location.
