If air comes out of the vents but it is not warm/hot, and your temp gauge shows normal engine temp, then the valve that opens the heater core to the hot water flow from the engine is not opening or the heat core is clogged. I would start there.

SOURCE: No dashboard heat output

The climate control was poorly designed on these cars.

There is only heat on the floor and defrost settings, due to the layout of the ductwork.

SOURCE: 2003 Nissan Sentra Problem overheating and heater doesn't work.

I had this exact problem a few weeks ago. The repair shop first changed the thermostat. Didn't fix the problem. Next step, they found the radiator was clogged. They replaced the radiator and now everything works fine.

SOURCE: the heater control does not change the air flow to

Check any vacuum hoses from engine all the way to heater/a/c housing under dash, for leaks. Then manually move or put a vacuum guage on every vac motor you can see and get to. Your working your way back to the switch. If you want to you could start at the switch but % wise and degree of difficult your better to back in. Now a schematic will make the process easier. Hard to work on a system you don't know .Electrical or Computer sometimes play into these, I have an older S10 so no computer.

My defroster, heater and air conditioner doesn't work in my 2001 toyota echo no air comes out when I turn either one on help please

Try all fan speed settings to determine if you have air flow on any (particularly High speed). I don't know the specifics of your Echo, but typically high speed is a straight-through connection for power to the blower motor.
If high speed works but none of the slower speeds do, the issue is very likely the blower motor resistor or the resistor connector.
If none of the speeds work, there might be a bad fuse for the blower motor or the motor itself might be bad.
If you can hear the blower on all speeds but still no air is coming out the vents, the issue might be either a damaged diverter door that is not properly directing air flow or possibly something got sucked in to the blower motor squirrel cage and is severely restricting air flow. -Rod

Blower works but blows cold air what would cause this would it be the thermostat or heater core

If your thermostat is staying open then it won't get hot in the cab,if the heater is bad,it will leak and fog up the window, another cause could be the blend door is stuck close,or the valve is stuck close and antifreeze can;t circulate thru the heater core. When you first start your car does the thermometer on dash go up then cone down,if it is then thermostat is good.

Could the thermostat cause the heater to only blow cold air even though the motor runs normal temp on a 2003 dodge caravan

1st of all, you need to check your anti-freeze level. If its not full, the coolant cannot/will not flow throughout your heater core which the coolant flow through to heat your vehicle. If it is indeed up to the proper level? Than, yes I would look into the thremostat. It may not be opening up.

My 2003 toyota sequoia temp goes up when outside temp is very hot.Mya.c will shut off then kick back on and repeat. After about 4 min the temp gauge goes up and heater kicks on .What could be causing this?

if both fans are working normally... you need to check radiators (both engine and A/C: start with the big one.. could be dirty blocking flow of coolant!)
good luck

2003 Toyota Echo heat not working. Fan, but no heat.

There is a valve on one of the heater hoses that allows heated water to flow through the heater core when you select heat. With heat selected and car warmed up check to see if both of the hoses feel warm. If not then water is not flowing through heater core and valve may need replaced or heater core is stopped up.
