SOURCE: automobile air conditioning on max cool, blows hot
I had the same problem when i was working on my 1999 Buick Regal and had to disconnect the battery. I didn't reconnect in the same way that I disconnected the battery from the terminal and noticed that the driver side had no heat or air but the passenger side did. I then disconnected the battery again and reconnected it the same way and now have heat and air on both the driver and passenger side. Hope this helps. Good Luck!

SOURCE: Only cold air on passenger side
I would first check and make sure that you have enough Freon in the system, on climate control dual systems only one side will put out cold air if the system is low on Freon. Eventually, both sides will put out warm/hot air if the system continues to loose Freon. As with all leaks the system should be checked and then the leak causing component replaced/repaired.

You need to replace the drivers side temp actuator that is located on the left side of the HVAC box. It is retained by 3 screws and is fairly easy to replace.

SOURCE: driver side heat blows cool air passenger side
Hello. The side that is not operating properly has a bad temp door actuator located up under the dash. I am assuming this vehicle has driver/passenger(dual)climate control heat and cold settings. This is a very common problem on these vehicles. Hope you find this information useful!

SOURCE: Air/C, blows hot air on drivers and cold air on passenger side?
The vent actuator my need to be reset, this can be done by removing the HVAC fuse from the fuse panel for 5 min or disconnecting the battery. If the vent actuator does not correct it self, then it's most like going to have to be replace due to internal parts have broke in the actuator.
Thank you for using fixya and it's common for the vent actuators to go bad after a few years, the internal parts are made of plastic and get brittle after time.
