SOURCE: replacing the brake line on a 1992 chevy lumina

Have it done by a pro because any connections have to be double flared, then the brakes have to be bled.

What is the part called that the brake lines hook into?

Hi,
Under the hood is the Master Cylinder. It contains brake fluid, which when you depress the brake pedal, acts as hydraulic fluid to flow through high pressure tubing called brake lines, from the Master Cylinder to the Wheel Cylinder (drum brakes) or Brake Piston Caliper (disc brakes). As you depress the pedal further hydraulic pressure expands the wheel cylinder which presses outward, 2 brake shoes inside a metal "drum" (drum brakes) or clamp the brake piston calipers together squeezing a disc-like rotor (disc brakes) thus stopping the vehicle.

What size wrench is needed to change the metal brake oil line

you need a special spanner which has the shape of the nut and a small slot in it to slide over the brake pipe so you do not round off the nut .

I have a 1990 lumina 3.1 and i have a brake leak the line that is leaking is above the tank and it is 3/8 thick never seen it before and am wondering how to fix it cause i am lost.

3/8 thick pipe?? you sure its a brake pipe ,is it a metal pipe of a plastic pipe ,if its a metal pipe then you will just have to drop the tank and replace it
