Question about Toyota Cars & Trucks
Very long cranking time causing too much fuel in cylinders and copious smoking by the time it does crank, check engine light comes on after extended cranking reporting misfires on all cylinders, once engine is warm and the ecu is reset there are no error codes. Battery, starter, alternator test good, new plugs, distributor cap, rotor, Intake Air Control valve cleaned and replaced along with throttle body, new fuel filter, fuel pump operational, all fuses are good, once cranked I have to rev engine until normal idling occurs and then after the engine is warm it cranks and runs normally and no error codes are produced. Ran Injector cleaner through the tank, How do I logically diagnose the problem?

Hi, i would like to advice you check the electronic idle speed control valve and also check engine coolant temp sensor. The ISC (idle speed control valve) is located somewhere below the throttle valve. the engine coolant temp sensor is located near distributor. it has a two wire connection. the sensor connector is usually green

Good Evening, you might want to check those injectors, I can not remember for certain but that setup was sequential and when one or two have a problem it would take out the rest. Ohm out the injectors and see what you have there.

SOURCE: Engine won't start.
Sounds like your fuel injecters are plugged. Wouldn't do you any good to add fuel injecter cleaner to your gas if engine won't run, so you would need to remove your injectors and clean or replace them. Hope this helps: http://www.autozone.com/autozone/catalog/parts/partsShelf.jsp?displayName=Fuel+Injector¤tPage=1&categoryDisplayName=Fuel+Delivery&navValue=14900120&itemId=prod61264&parentId=cat30060
