I am not sure if it is broken. I didn't even notice happening. I was just using the brush to clean tires, and when I put it back I noticed the mirror. I just don't know what the part that attaches to the rest of the housing is supposed to look like so I can determine if it is broken or if it can be screwed back in. Maybe if there were pictures I could look at, that would be nice. thanks
Maybe this can help you with your mirror. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=2012+kia+optima+side+mirror+replacement
Hello, thanks for the answer. I was trying to avoid buying a new one, as I assume mine is broken and cannot be screwed in in any way. This is a picture of another kia (mine is now all ducked taped) which looks very much like what has happened to me. I was wondering if I could glue the thing. Nothing else is broken, not the casing or the mirror and the electric works as I adjusted it after taping it. If it can be glued, what should I use? whatis the best way to do it? Thank you so much for your time.

SOURCE: Bissel Proheat Carpet cleaner
My Bissell had the same problem. The hand attachment does not use heated water. So I Found a clog of calcium and dirt in the heater portion of the unit. The heater is in the handle behind the red heater light on the front. Remove the upper portion of the handle. Remove the lower two screws in the lower portion and the parts will split apart. Remove the hoses and remove the heater. (mark where the wires go) The bottom of the heater can be removed with a screwdriver. The tubes leading into the heater is where the clog was but there was a lot of debris inside Make sure to clear it all and the hoses as well. I put it together and it works great.

Brushroll not spinning
Posted by vistaloopy on Mar 19, 2008
I have a Eureka Bagless Optima 431 Lightweight Upright that is not working. I took it apart to clean the brushroll and have tried to put it back together several times, but the brushroll will not spin anymore. Maybe I'm putting the belt in the wrong spot? Where can I find a diagram or something?
Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Eureka 431A Optima Bagless Upright Vacuum. You have only 2 choices, the belt is either side driven belt or the belt is a center driven belt and the brushroll has one side that is for the belt and the side driven brushroll and the motor pulley must be in line in order to work properly, you may want to check the bearing holders, some vacs will mark the ends with words like NEW or USED and both have to be identical in order to fit right. Once you have the brushroll out it should spin if you set it on it’s side and if that happens you are OK, then watch the ends of the brushroll. Align the end with the motor pulley, B4 install the belt place the belt on the pulley side and install the brushroll. Then once the brushroll is in and spins properly, and then you can use a belt puller and stretch the belt onto the motor pulley and then track it in a straight line. If you need further help please feel free to contact your local vac dealer in your area. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

SOURCE: Dyson Animal hose collapses when using attachment hose
You have a clog in either your hose or your wand. You need to take off the wand and hose and inspect them.
SOURCE: Can't get any suction through the hose.
you will see a tube coming out of the top of the base.thats where the hose attaches.but before you putthe hose on turn on the vacuum and see if you have suction at the tube coming out of the top of the base.also check and see if the brush roller is turning when vacuum is on.there is a little door you have to lift up when you attach the hose.hold the door open and attach the hose.i hope i was of some help to you.please leave feedback
SOURCE: I was vacuuming my car and the Kirby G4 just stopped
Greetings from GoVacuum,
Unfortunately there is no fuse on a Kirby Generation model. In my 10 years of repairing Kirby's as well as other vacuums I will tell you that 9 times out of 10, when a Kirby Generation doesn't turn on, it's the cord that needs to be replaced. This is by far the most common problem that we see on Kirby repairs.
The Kirby motor is very well built, and usually has a life of 30+ years (G3 is about 12-15 years now). The only other problem it could be on the Kirby would be carbon brushes, or the switch assembly.
I would first try testing the power cord, I think this will solve the problem for you. To test a cord on a Kirby Generation (all Generation models are the same machines, just different colors) first follow where the cord goes into the Kirby at the bottom. To access this cover easier, first remove the "boot" at the bottom of the outer bag. This is the plastic part at the bottom of the outer bag that connects onto the Kirby. You will see that there is a plastic cover over the cord. You will need to remove the screw that holds this cover on.
Now after you have removed the cover, pull the plug out of the machine. Once you have the cord disconnected from the machine, you can now test it to see if there is a short somewhere in the cord. You will need to purchase an inexpensive continuity tester from Home Depot, Radio Shack, or most other electronic stores. This will tell you if there is power running through the cord, or if the cord is bad. With the continuity tester, plug the cord into the wall outlet, then put the positive, and negative testing rods into the female end of the cord that plugs into the machine. You will then be able to tell if the cord has continuity going through it. The tester will indicate if there's continuity or not.
The picture here shows that the cord is good. If your tester does not light up, or indicate that there is continuity, you'll simply just need to purchase a new cord. As I stated earlier, this is the most common reason that a Kirby won't turn on.
If however your cord tests OK, this indicates that the machine either needs a new motor (or carbon brushes in the motor) or it needs a new switch.
Please feel free to email me if you'd like instructions on how to diagnosis the switch or carbon brushes, or if you need to purchase a cord for your G3. Also I can send you a parts diagram of the Kirby should you ever need any other part for it. I have all parts for Kirby in stock, and we are the cheapest price online.
If the cord tested ok, then there are a few other things that may have gone bad. I'd be more then happy to try and help you diagnosis the Kirby further. Please just request a repair clarifiaction here on Fixya with further details.
If this helped you figure out the problem, please rate my repair as helpful. I really do appreciate it, thank you.
