I'm doing a complete replacement of headliner in 2000 volvo s80. Need to know how to remove trims, A, B & C pillars & Oh Sh#t handles without damage.

I found salvage car to harvest used parts. Videos online for headliners don't address this model. Are there manuals, videos, pictures diagrams of process? Thank you.

SOURCE: Headliner removal w/out destroying trim?

well, the "o'poop" handles should of screw covers that pop off, one on each side for 2 screws. For the other trim panels always start on one end and work your way to the other. They make panel tools that look like a bent flat head screw driver that does make it a little easier but I never had one until I already tore mine apart. Just be careful when you start pulling on stuff and be sure to pull straight out (if you do end up breaking a clip or two it's usually not a big deal)

SOURCE: 1997 SL Saturn Headliner Removel

search google for the saturn fourms they had detailed instructions with pics . The short answer is all plastic trim around the top or doors from the windshield to the back window. The top of the dash needs to come off too It just pops off pretty easy . all clips you can see when the trim is pulled back a bit from the bottom and use a screwdriver to pry the clip out or it will break . you need a star wrench set to remove the setbelt bolts. the passenger handle is a pain I cant remember that one .

How to take down the headliner on a 2004 Pontiac Sunfire

remove the A, B & C pillar trims
remove the visors
remove the grab handles

at this point the headliner is only held in by the velco straps and the door weatherstriping. if you work it around the headliner you shouldnt have to remove the weatherstriping.

might be better to remove the front seats to be able to get the headliner out without creasing it. you will probably get it out one of the rear doors. you will have to bent it slightly, be careful

My 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited sun roof does not want to open.

If your motor is audible and your fuses and connectors are okay, you may have to take a close look at the plastic gear parts up in the roof. The nylon parts do wear out since they are in the roof and more exposed to different temperatures. If any of that mechanism fails then your sunroof will stop working even if the motor is still good. It is a bit of a PITA to get to it since you will have to remove the headliner to get at the mechanism and then identify the worn part and replace it CAUTION: The sunroof system is timed from the factory so that the motor shuts off automatically when the sunroof window reaches a certain position. Extreme care must be taken when removing the motor, timing may be thrown off causing possible damage to the sunroof system. Anytime the motor is removed from the sunroof assembly the sunroof glass panel must be in the FULLY CLOSED POSITION or the unit will be out of timing. The drive motor cannot be reset to the park position after being removed.
CAUTION: The sunroof motor should only be powered through the vehicle battery and sunroof wire harness. Applying power to the sunroof motor leads will cause failure of the control module.
Move glass panel to the fully closed position.

Have new mirror, need to know how to replace the side mirror on a 2003 Volvo S80 TR6

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can access the bolts that secure the mirror onto the door

    S-type headliner replacement

Just got my out. So, I thought I would tell everyone how to do this. First you have to remove the coat hooks, rear lights, handles and visors. My wife did these so thaey must be easy (just kidding babe). You don't have to remove the switches and lights up front. You will have to remove the wires later anyway. Now you have to remove the trim pieces at the A,B and C pillars. All these are attached with clips behind them. Use a long screwdriver (and cloth) to pry behind and loosen them. You will have to remove the seat belt on the B pillar. At this point you need to lay the back seats down and pop the three clips for the back speaker cover. Reach underneath and remove the wires. Slide the connectors off the clamp and unclip. This was a pain in the hands. Now the headliner is held on by a clip at the very back that I broke trying to get off. Also, there is velcro around the sunroof that you can use a long screwdriver to pry loose. At this point you unhook the wires for the front switches and it should be loose. Now comes the hard part. Bending the headliner to remove out the back door. I removed the neck support off th driver seat and moved all th way forward and up. I then really had to bend the headliner to remove. Lucky it is made out of a material the doesn't break easily. Good Luck.
