SOURCE: HAZARD LIGHTS ON BUT NOT

HI,
I have the same problem - it is the relay switch attached to and behind the hazard warning triangle on the dashboard. Pull it all out (gently and replace (£60 ish). The indicators and hazard lights are on the same relay circuit. This is a well known problem for this car (amongst others - how about the wipers sticking)

SOURCE: Hazard lights flashing

I have a 97 subaru outback and encountered the same problem. It is a security device on all newer subaru's. After changing or charging the battery, leave the negetive battery cable disconnected. Turn the key to the "on" position, then reconnect the negative terminal. This will stop the flashing.

SOURCE: electric fault

You might try removing the battery connectors for five minutes and replacing back.

If the codes do not disappear, please you might have to get a scanner to do that.

Cheers.

My hazard lights won't stop flashing. AC goes on and off

if the hazzards and the a/c are flashing at the same istance then the problem is something to do with the wiring, they may have put a wrong relay in or crossed over some wires.

Where is the flasher relay on a 2002 monte carlo

It's part of the hazard switch. have to take trim panel off to replace it .Apply the parking brake.
If the vehicle is equipped with a column shift, position the transaxle shift control indicator to 1.
Adjust the steering wheel for access.
Using a small, flat-bladed tool, gently remove the bezel from the ignition lock cylinder.
For the Impala, remove the right and the left access covers from the instrument panel (IP) fuse block.
For the Monte Carlo, remove the left access cover from the IP fuse block.
Remove the steering column filler. Refer to Steering Column Opening Filler Replacement .
For the Monte Carlo, open the instrument panel compartment door.
Remove the trim plate screws from the IP cluster.
Start at the left side of the IP cluster trim plate. Grasp the trim plate and carefully pull rearward. Disengage the IP cluster trim plate in order to easily access the hazard warning switch
Disconnect the electrical connectors from the hazard warning switch.
Remove the hazard warning switch from the IP cluster trim plate.

I have a 1995 chevy cavalier and the turn signals just stay on and don't blink. I have changed the flasher and the multi function switch and still no luck

First, is it doing it on BOTH isdes or just on one side? Example: turn signnals flash OK when turning left, but only come on and stay on when turning right. If it is doing this, then you most likely have either a blown bulb or a bad bulb socket on the side that is not flashing. You need to check both the FRONT and REAR bulbs to make sure they are all functioning properly.
If it is doing it on BOTH sides, then you either have a bad flasher, or at least 2 bulbs burned out (one or more on each side).

Are you sure you replaced the correct flasher? The flasher for the HAZZARD lights is plugged into the convinience center under the left side of the dash. If this is the flasher you replaced, it is the wrong one.
The turn signal flasher is mounted to the driver's knee bolster bar near the steering column. It is held to the bar with a clip. (see diagram)

1997 Subaru Impreza wagon. Just replaced battery and hazard lights are blinking whether ignition is on or off. Tried turning hazards on and off and that didn't stop it. Only removing battery stops it. ...

Under your dash by steering column,by your left knee, is a small 4" x4" box that has a small wire attached. On the end of the wire is a small button. Push the button with the ignition in the on position. It will reset the alarm system. That will stop your lights from flashing. Have a great day.
