Hello Basil Miller,

What you need to do to resolve the issue is to beg, borrow, rent or buy a COOLING SYSTEM pressure tester...
(way less than an hour of an in-competent "MECHANIC"
(although a competent mechanic could have your
issue identified in minutes)).

I will try to attach a sample picture from AMAZON

I bought a SNAP-ON (BluePoint) years ago and have
saved big money... They are SO effective because you can pressurize the engine while it is COOL , quiet & not running....

Carefully look around the engine and find out where
the leak(s) show... AND REPAIR THEM.

(pay close attention to the water-pump drive seal)
((Always use recommended COOLANT MIX)).

Never OVERTIGHTEN hose fittings...
ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT on plastic parts...!!

If there is a leak in the system it wont pull coolant from that bottle due to lack of vacuum when it cools down.

How do I locate and fix the thermostat in my hyundai h100? My heater is blowing cold air only and the coolant tank is full

First check the radiator for coolant. It should be a close to the top. A kinked or plugged reservoir line will keep the coolant from going back in the radiator(pressure pushes it out of the raditor, vacumm pulls it in). Follow the top radiator hose to the engine, this is where the thermotsat is.

Yes it is normal just no hot air

1. When setting the temperature to MAX, blower level to FULL and outside air Vent CLOSED, no hot air comes out after 2-5 minutes?
If YES, when did you last flushed your radiator and is it full?
2. if more than 5 years ago, flush radiator system, instructions are usually in Owners manual. Use a bottle of Radiator cleaner, run egine hot for about 10-15 minutes, carefully open petcock in bottom of radiator to flush out radiator, WARNING, careful as flushed coolant would be boiling hot. As sson petcock is open and water start to flow out, carefully open radiator cap to enhance flushing flow. Use garden hose to fill radiator while flushing until water coming out from petcock is cold and clear.
Once clear, start engine, turn heter full and blower full blast and keep hose in radiator flowing full, leave petcock open until clear water flows out again. Once clear waters comes out, turn off engine,turn off garden hose and let water drain empty radiator. Once it stops flowing out, close petcock snug and put radiator cap on, pull off radiator coolant catch bottle, clean bottle for any debris and dirt. Drain any water, leave bottle empty and put it back onto its place.
3. Fill radiator with 1 gallon (4L) of concentrated coolant, top up radiator until full, fill catch bottle with concentrated coolant, start engine and keep it overflowing until no bubbles comes out and the radiator is fully hot. Once it is flowing good, close and connect everything. Drive with it and keep catch bottle filled as necessarry.

Where is the themostack on a h100 turbo engine?

Usually it is close to the water pump.Two smaller size hose should come out from under the cover of the thermostate .You probably need to remove the top cover to see the thermo valve itself.If the thermostate not working(or not working temporary)then main radiator in the front of the wehicle stays cold.Thermostate can get stuck,it means that it is working sometimes,sometimes not so the hot water cant get to the radiator to cool down .Pressure goes high up ,water runs everywhere.There is one more thing can cause such problem on your car.If the water reaches a certain temp then a ventilator should turn on on the radiator which suppose to cool down the water.If you drive fast enogh then the travel wind can do the same thing .So probably your ventillator stoped working.

Water coolnat

First, Is there actually coolant in the over flow tank?

If the bottle is full the coolant level sensor may be bad. The sensor pulls out the bottom of the overflow reservior.

If the bottle gets low overnight there is a leak. Check the radiator side tanks for leaks. You need to look from underneath the car at the joint where the radiator meets the black tanks on the left and right sides.

You also need to look from underneath for most of the other hoses on the car, the car is turbo most likely and there are hoses that go to and from the turbos, into the cabin, and to and from the engine.
Leaks are hard to find from just looking from the top of the engine.
