which computer? there are a few but i think you mean the PCM or Powertrain control module. that is bolted to the firewall behind the battery

SOURCE: location/testing of crank sensor 1995 jeep wrangler

Should be on the bellhousing on the drivers side just where you need rubber arms to reach it.Should have no continuity between b&c terminals (check with ohmeter) Harness plug is usually on the drivers side between the master cyl and the back of the engine (unless someone moved it)

Have a 2009 jeep wrangler , transmission does not shaft correctly.Sometimes may cause the check engine light to come on. turn engine off for 5 minutes may or maynot shaft .

Computer Control Module needs to be reflashed it sounds like. The dealer has the required components to fix it
