Run injector cleaner in the fuel
clean the faulty injector tip
misfires are more from injector and dirty fuel problems than coils and plugs

SOURCE: Check engine light

A multi misfire may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
Faulty spark plug or wires, Faulty coil (pack), Faulty oxygen sensor(s), Faulty fuel injector(s), Stuck/blocked EGR valve / passages, Faulty camshaft position sensor, Defective computer.

The engine is stumbling or hesitating, check all wiring and connectors that lead to the cylinders (i.e. spark plugs). Depending on how long the ignition components have been in the car, it may be a good idea to replace them as part of your regular maintenance schedule. I would suggest spark plugs, spark plug wire, distributor cap, and rotor (if applicable). Otherwise, check the coils (a.k.a. coil packs). In some cases, the the problems were faulty fuel injectors.

Random misfires that jump around from one cylinder to another (read: P030x codes) also will set a P0300 code. The underlying cause is often a lean fuel condition, which may be due to a vacuum leak in the intake manifold or unmetered air getting past the airflow sensor, or an EGR valve that is stuck open.

Good luck and hope this information helps, keep me posted, be glad to help you get the truck running 100% again. Not sure if your running a K&N air filter, and if you are there may be a flim of oil on the MAF sensor that is making you run lean. You may want to spray down the MAF sensor with a can of MAF cleaner.

Disconnect the battery completely, try turning the key with the battery disconnected. Put the battery back together. The check engine light should be off now..

Sounds like it is the EVAP and I think there is a TSB on this that the dealership should fix for you.

Start by verifying that the timing belt has not jumped a few teeth. You may also have a vacuum leak or poor fuel pressure. Undo the gas cap and see if the problem goes away. If it does, the fuel pump may be worn out.

Driving along lights dimmed, instrument panel died, loss of power then engine cut out & wouldn't start. Starts with a jump but when i turn key to heat glow plug, instrument panel goes mad

I assume there's a problem with alternator. Check the grounding to engine, check continuity of a positive wire between alternator and battery. the energizing voltage should be checked as well. Might be the bad connection between battery and vehicle body grounding. Diesel cars are sensitive even in a little loss of connection and rust in the connection points.

are the connections to your battery firm? it sounds like one may be lose - the clicking sounds you hear are from the starter solenoid and should only click once but if it does it again and your battery terminals are tight im thinking your solenoid on the starter motor may well be on the way out.. hope not for ya but... did you replace your engine speed sensor? I do not think the misfire is related to the repair. You could take a trouble light and look/feel around under the hood to see if a vacuum line is not plugged in or a wire connector has been left unhooked or loose. Then I would try and find a good fuel system cleaner (I recommend Chevron Techron) and run a tank of gas through to see if you are just dealing with dirty fuel injectors.

Poor performance on up hill drive

This could be caused by a low fuel pressure or poor plugs/wires. Do a fuel pressure test, if low replace filter, if still low replace pump. Also replace spark plugs and wires if you have not done so. If check engine light is on you can bring vehicle to local parts store to have them retrive trouble code. Thanks
