Trunk release button won't work, remote will

It appears to be right above crankshaft pulley. Your lower radiator hose should go to the pump.

Check the latch - it may be either broken or may accidentally be in the closed position while the trunk lid is open. Look at the latch to make sure it is working when you have someone press the trunk lid release.

If it has the electric trunk release, the button could be in the glove box.
Otherwise you may have to remove the back seat to gain entry to the trunk.

if the starter justs clicks once and all the lights stay bright i would say the starter is going bad. sometimes as a test ,you can tap the starter and if it works, it points to a bad starter

When you press the trunk open button, do you hear any "release" noise come from the trunk area? The issue may be a bad battery in the key fob OR there could be an issue with the transmitter located inside the vehicle. Do the doors lock and unlock properly? is the vehicle equipped with security or immobilizer? please advise

Ground Wire?

Your entire body,all fluids, engine block,trans
etc, are at ground potential

Electrons (Amps/Current) travel thru the body
& return to the Battery on the wires.

All Black Wires are grounds
All come from the Battery Negative Post

Open the trunk and check the wires near the right hinge. You'll probably have some cut wires that will need to get re-connected that go to your lights and trunk release.

Trunk reless relay ! Which year is right ? at the top is shows 1992 Buick . An it also has 2005 ? Which is it ?

is it a electronic opener with a automatic pull down feature? if so the pull down switch is at fault

move the catch assembly(mounted in trunk) up. bolts sometimes loosen up from use.
