SOURCE: 1997 honda accord sunroof drain problem

You need to open the sunroof fully and locate the small drain holes at each corner. They will be blocked with debris. Get a piece of welding wire or the likes and carefully unblock the hose by prodding and pouring water down it. When cleared the water shout run away freely.

SOURCE: sunroof leak

there are drain hoses on all all four corners of the sunroof. to access the front ones, remove the front inner fender liners. you'll probably see a plastic grommet/spout that the drain hose attaches to. in the rear, remove the trunk liners on the side. you should see the drain hoses running down the inside of the quarter panel.

'06 Chrysler Pacifica w/sunroof: When it rains water is leaking out of the front door frame covers and sun visor screws. (Sun roof is closed.)

hi i'm not familar with your car but if you can wind the sunroof back so the sunroof is fully open look at all four corners where the sunroof sits into there should be at least 2 drain holes which can over time become clogged with debris, if you find them use some warm water and flexi pipe to clean the drain holes out. hope this helps

H3 Hummer leaking water into cab.

My 06 H3 was leaking when it rained. It turned out to be the sunroof. There are two drain tubes in thefront of the sunroof that run the water down the corners to the groundand two drain tubes that drain water out the back corners. The waterwould seep around the glass, which is expected, but both of the tubeson the front of mine were plugged, and the water would overflow behindthe dash and fill my floorboards. If my H3 was leaning to the leftduring a storm then the drivers side would be full of water. If leaningright, then the passenger side. I had to open sunroof and blowcompressed air into the drain holes to clear them, but be careful, toomuch pressure will separate tubes from sunroof and then you will have toremove the inside paneling around sunroof to get to tubes andreconnect. You may only have one side plugged. you can test it byopening sunroof and pour a little water in the small catch pan in thefront of the sunroof and see if it drains as expected (to the groundunder the firewall2_bing.gifon left AND right side). You can see the holes in each corner of catchpan to drain the water. Plug one with your finger, then the other tofind the plugged side. Good luck!! Hope this helps!!

Water on drivers side floorboard . Why?

If you have a sunroof it could be the drain that follows the front pillar letting out under the front fender. These hoses are known to plug and crack open releasing water into the floorboards.

Driver side door check along top and front edge for tears or twisted looses sections. Internal to the door water can drain down along the window and is released outside the door seal. If the bottom of the door has the opening that releases the water plugged then water will drain over into the floorboard.

Front passenger floor wet from rain, where is leak at?

Do you have a sunroof or moonroof? If so the problem is going to be in the drain for that sunroof or moonroof. If you open the roof, on either front corner you will see a small circular hole. Take some compressed air and blow it through each of those holes. You may see debris come out of the bottom near the back of your wheel well. Take cup of water and slowly pour that near those holes and make sure it goes through. Usually when that drain is clogged the water from a rain storm will flood into the passenger cabin.

Nissan quest sunroof drain clogged

open your skylight and feel in the front corners for muck stuck infront of the drainage holes. Use a pipe cleaner or other wire to poke through the holes and the water should drain out. It is a little difficult to see the holes but just feel around.

My car filled up with water from yesterdays rain and i cant find the source of the leak and checked the door seals and there ok. this issue is only on the drivers side.

Does car have sunroof? If sunroof drains are plugged they overflow into car. To cure, blow compressed air through drain tubes.

Volkswagen Jetta GLS 2003

There are drains that go from the factory sunroof down the frame and come out in the door frame. If you open your front driver's door and look at the forward part of the door frame you will see what I am talking about. Make sure these drains aren't clogged. If you can find something stiff enough to force down the drain, but still flexible enough to go through all the turns and not poke through the tubing you can push out any gunk. With the sunroof open you should be able to see the holes around the edge of the sunroof frame. These drains are why there are fewer problems with the factory sunroof versus an aftermarket one. Even if some water gets through the seals it has a place to go. Other than that the door seals are really the only other place prone to leaking unless there is some hole in the floorboard. But that would be strange.

There is one more longshot place. In the front drivers side under the dash there are some holes to pass through wires to the engine bay. These holes have grommets that keep water out but if someone did some aftermarket work on the car they may have added wires here and not sealed everything up tight.

Since the water is on the drivers side only I'd start by taking a quick look at the door seals on that side. The driver's door is a good candidate for problems since it is used the most. Also, if the seals are bad you might be able to notice more road noise when driving. Goodluck.
