2006 BMW 323i Passnger Door lock will not lock / unlock w/ remote

The door will not unlock or lock with the key remote or the drivers door lock button.
The normal locking click sound now makes multiple clicks, and the door lock / unlock does not move.
Its under warrenty, so this should be an intersting test of the service qualtiy.

Replace fuse 57 (15 amp) then disconnect battery and wait 30 to 45 minutes before reconnecting the battery.

My 2006 BMW 325I had the same problem with the door locks not responding. I checked all related fuses and found #57 (15 amp) was the only related fuse blown. I put in a new fuse and it still would not work. I then disconnected the battery for a while then once I reconnected the battery everything worked fine.

I believe I blew the fuse while repeatedly pushing the unlock button rapidly while walking across the parking lock to the car. I suggest only pushing the unlock button only once or twice.

Unlock drivers side door when key won't work
All BNW's have remote key openers built into key, so what doesn't work, the manual lock, or the remote key, or both. When you say you don't have keyless entry, on a BMW the remote is the key.

Haw to set my windows i bmw e46 to close them from key remote i can open them but not close only with key in door lock and hold :-)
Unlock but hold the unlock button on your remote while pointing at the driver's side door. There is a sensor right there.

Can't unlock my car using the key? Changed battery in the key and now can not get into the car. What can I do?
Are you saying just the keyless entry (with the buttons on the key) will not remotely open the doors? Can you insert the key in the lock on the door and manually open the door? There is a procedure to "program" the remote/key but you have to be inside the vehicle with all doors close. I'll be happy to tell you the procedure if you're talking about the keyless/remote entry. My 323i was stored for 2 years. I am now getting it road ready and the passenger front, and both back doors wil not unlock. can you help?
Hi, try this as it may or may not apply to your model.Get in, open and close the drivers door, put key in ignition turn 2 clicks and take back out again, within 5 seconds, hold the 'lock' button in the middle of the key and press the 'unlock' button 3 times, then let go. Quickly repeat the lock and unlock button sequence on the spare key. All doors should lock and then unlock when it has worked.

take door panel off and check mechanism on back of lock fault in this area

2006 325 i door locks not working driver door will lock and other doors stay open if drivers door is locked it needs to be open manually back doors were locked by hand and now wont open by remote
I had a very similar situation. Was very annoying not being able to unlock or lock doors from pannel control nor from remote.
Only driver door can be opened with manual key.

Solution: One of the 15 amp purple fuses was blown. Fuses are located inside glove compartment, the interior end has to be removed releasing the two locks.
Use a light and the red tool located on the panel to remove fuses.

2000 BMW 323I WONT UNLOCK WITH THE KEY OR KEY FOB, ANY IDEAS?
I had same problem. Driver door would lock/unlock with key in keyhole in door, but not with fob, and other doors would not lock/unlock. Even once inside none of the doors would lock/unlock with lock switch, or even by pulling handles. Mechanic (very trustworthy) explained I needed a new control module (cost me $600). Good Luck. $600 is better than having to roll down the windows so Grandma can Luke Duke it outta the car.

2006 bmw 325i remote only unlocks driverside door. will not unlock all doors when you lock it from the inside. have to use key in remote to open door. also central button to unlock doors is inop
fuse 56 and 57 control central locking,the issue is caused by surges typically in the front door lock actuators, normally at a dealer they would replace fuse 56 and 57 with a 20a mini fuse and if still occuring repl the door lock(s) that dont work or typically both front, first replace fuse 56 and 57 with 20a fuses as were too small from factory and than operate ten to 15 times, if it doesnt work at first dont panic,let the car go to sleep which takes about 16 min and than try again this problem has nothing to do with the key fob or the lock unlock button inside,also the fuses are located behind the glove box just rere the access panel and they are found at lower left section

Central Locking System Malfunction (i suppose)
check the door lock switchs first to make sure their is power going to it then check the lock actuators sounds like the door actuators though that need to be replaced.
