My volvo v70 2.4 automatic does not engage any gear , but if i select the (winter button) torque converter it works

Not overly familiar with Audis but it sounds like either a.) you have an electronic tranny that has a serious bug or b.) there's a problem in the computer of the car itself. What is sounds like is the car is taking a long time to "understand" that you're telling it to move forward. How new is the car? When you push on the gas before the three minutes, what happens?

If you cannot turn off the flashing mode selector light, then there is a code stored in the transmission computer. ave the codes read out. Post the code here and I may be able to help out.

Where roy might have a possible source, it is most likely the park neutral switch which has started to fail. This is indicated by the shift arrow flashing on the dash. Replacement of this component is relatively difficult without a lift

It appears you have a Forward Clutch FAILURE. Replace the trans after you get it diagnosed and verified by a professional technician. By the way, do you have a Check Engine light? If so, what is the diagnostic code? The dealership can scan the system and find any codes which may have been stored in the TCM (Transmission Control Module). If there were any 'Incorrect Gear Ratio" codes, it's most probably the trans itself.

2009 right. This needs to go back to the dealer. Everything is computer related. Only a qualified volve tech should look at this. Everything is still covered under warrenty
