I FOUND AND REPLACED THE 20 AMP FUSE FOR THE CIGARETTE LIGHTER, IN MY 1997 CHEVY ASTRO VAN....NOW THE DOOR LOCKS WORK, BUT THE LIGHTER AND 2 PASSENGER AUX OUTLETS DO NOT WORK. WHAT IS MY PROBLEM?
Door locks and cig lighter ARE NOT on same circuit. Maybe lighter is broken and blowing fuse.

The fuse box for the 99 malibu is right next to the battery, under the hood. It is a 30amp "mini fuse". You can find a chart for which fuse to which circuit, by looking at the lid for the fuse box. This is one of the things I like about the car. If you are using the cigarrette lighter for smoking materials, clean the ashes and residue off the cigarrette lighter (when its cool) with a brass brush, outside the car. Do not let cigarrete material build up in the lighter or it will short.
