The most common that often fail (MAP), (TPS), (CAM), (IGN), (CRANK) MAP is your mass air flow which is located at the beginning of your air intake, TPS is the throttle body position sensor, the CAM is the cam shaft position sensor (transmission), IGN ignition position sensor and the CRANK sensor is located near the bottom driver side front
There are numerous reasons why the cruise control would stop working. Could be a circuit board, the cruise control module, a vacuum leak, fuse, or something else. You'll have to take it to a shop.
Just to make sure, you did check the fuses at the end of the dash on the passenger side too as to the one under the hood in the engine compartment. If the fuses on both fuse distribution box are good, then your may have a bad body control module.
Good luck and thank you for using fixya.
The engine control module is mounted on the left front under the hood to the left of the air filter. It is under a plastic cover. Hope your repair goes well for you.
