My atv t013 engine will start but it doesn't have enough power to move when I put the gas on. When I gradually put gas on it doesn't go but when I put more the engine buffers and it eventually dies and shuts off. It doesn't have enough power to go up a hill with no one on it. Someone please help. Thank you

Hey! I got the same problem and I fixed it fast after reading this post:

Replace your fuel filter, may be clogged, you can get them at Walmart,Home Depot or Lowe's,also check your gas lines to make sure you have no leakage. Also drain gas and put new gas in,use regular unleaded. Also check your spark plug, put a new one in,sometimes it may look good but it's not. Then check your air filter, try a new one one too. After all this,it should run like new. when you turn the key to the ON position you should hear your electric fuel pump come on (a quiet hissing noise) if you dont hear this noise your fuel pump has gone out, if you do hear the noise you might want to check your fuel filter it could be clogged and starving the engine of fuel

1999 Yukon Start Issue - I have replaced the octopuse, battery, fuel filter, fuel pump, still having problems starting in cold weather, sometimes after a heavy rain.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

it would have been helpful if you stated the year of the car but it sounds to me like it is the fuel filter or the fuel pump

Most Likely Coolant temp sensor & connector.Located in cyclinder head under upper radiatior hose. Two wires to connector yellow & black.Replacement sensor is brass (from saturn) Original is ceramic & cracks cause poor performance, stalling, idle issues. Also check plugs & wires for carbon tracking.Replace plugs & wires as a set all at once.Hope this helps
Try changing the fuel filter. If that does not help, have someone test the injector pump for pressure. Last would be a compression test on the cylinders. Drain oil and replace oil filter very soon.
What has happened is the diesel fuel is a lubricant and gasoline is a solvent. As gasoline is much thinner, it could wash down the cylinders and get into the oil pan thinning the oil and ruining the bearings. This would be the reason to test the pressure in the cylinders to find out if you lost compression with the rings in the cylinders.
Next, the injector pump for the diesel has seals and tolerances for inside components. Again, since gasoline is a solvent and not a lubricant, the internal parts could be worn out by not having diesel fuel to lubricate the injector pump parts.
If someone working at the fuel station made this mistake, all the costs should be paid by the station. This is something which could be taken to court if the station does not pay.
