Driver fuel module ???? Under the back seat ? The part your calling a driver fuel module is the fuel pump driver module ! What fuse do you pull ? If you would like help you need to go into more details . Your vehicle has electronic returnless fuel system (computer controlled ) Having the vehicle checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes could shed some light on to the problem . There is a fuel pressure sensor on the fuel injector fuel rail ,this is a input to the PCM engine computer .The PCM talks to the FPDM -fuel pump driver module to speed up or slow down the fuel pump .

SOURCE: fuel pump fuse blowing

replace the fuel pump, it is drawing to much current, this is common when the pump bearings get worn out, also make sure you replace the fuel pump connector at the fuel tank connection, it will be burnt..

SOURCE: Heated seat

It is the heatling element, stock elements have a single wire snaked through the element and when the circuit breaks it is done, aftermarket elements have a wired grid that if one area fails it still works, they also spread a more even heat.

SOURCE: keeps blowing the prime fuse under hood, gas gage

this problem is most likely caused by a fuel pump with high amp. draw on start up.use a amp meter.then replace fuel pump.

Haven't heard of that module going out on that vehicle , F-150 etc... an expedition where the module is mounted under the vehicle is real common . Watch this video on how to test the fuel pump at the driver module.

Driver fuel module pump

Hello Dennis weird,
My name is Francis, From Pretoria, South Africa.
I would like to ask some few questions please.... I have a 2007 Ford Focus ST.2.5, 6 speed Manuel. I bought the car from an Insurance salvage ..... After installing the Radiator which was out. i tried to start the car, it refuses to start, it just sounds like is about to start, then is not starting. I open the bonnet and check if the fuel will spins out as i would be trying to start it... Nothing came out. when i on turn the key no sound of the fuel pump then i went to the Real Right seat. and open it, I saw that the cable going inside the fuel tank which is connected to the fuel pump has a sockets which is not plug and it nothing was there. it looks like the fuel pump driver module was there and they stole it. i can see the other sockets half as they just pull out the module along with the cable. I have gone to Ford with my VIN for them to order the parts for me, they all seems not to know what i m looking for.... i have other Ford Focus ST of 2008 2009 2010 2011, there was nothing on that back seat... its just cables going inside the tank and out... Please i need help as i m already frustrated... Does any one have an Ideal of what i m talking about?

Fuel pump

Yes they are the same, the job of the fuel pump driver module is an electric voltage regulator that varies the voltage supplied to the fuel pump to slow it down, this makes it run very quietly and does away with the whine at idle that some people find annoying as I have found from personnel shop experience at the Ford dealer I worked for for 20 years..

What is a fuel pump driver for?

Hi, the Fuel Pump Driver Module communicates diagnostic information to the powertrain control module (PCM) through the Fuel Pump Monitor (FPM) circuit. This information is sent by the FPDM as a duty cycle signal which in turns controls the fuel pump.

Can you hear the fuel pump running? Just lay under the car or take the seat out and have someone turn the key on to see if the pump can be heard. You can take this pump out from inside of the car because it has an access plate in the floor. Just use a brass punch and hammer to spin the locking ring off.

Fuel pressure regulator might be the problem, the diaphram ruptures and the regulator leaks gas into intake, causing the engine to flood. Try holding the gas pedal to the floor while your cranking it. An easy way to tell is pull the vacuum line off the fuel pressure regulator if it's wet with gas or smells like gas that's the problem. It should be on the fuel rail, on top of the engine and looks like vacuum advance unit only smaller.
