1997 pathfinder, i gave someone a jump and instantly it cut my car off. Checked all fuses and replaced solenoid, still. All i get is a click sound

How long did the 2nd alt. last before it died? The voltage regulator is, I believe, attached to the alternator. Have u had the voltage regulator checked?

all I had to do on a sable was to replace the belt but look at the battery there should be a wire coming from the battery going to another solenoid mounted under the hood and then going down to the starter get a 12 volt tester and see if you have power going to this solenoid cause it could be dead on one end and not going down to the starter

i Have a 1997 suburban, high beams work but low beams do not.

If the battery is good , then you need a new starter.
