Location on a 2017 jeep renegade oil sensor 2.4L, I need a Diagram Showing Engine Block and Location of Oil Sensor.
Had a Bad Oil Leak on Brand New 2017 2.4L Jeep Renegade, Took it back to Dealership, They work on it All Day, Said that the Threads on Engine Block Not Out Tapped Properly, They Said they Repair the Threads by Tapping Out Again, But still see a little Oil Leak, Once the Engine Block is Screw Up, You Can't Fix this Properly Right ?
A helicoil is a small tube threaded on the outside to fit in the newly cut but larger threads in the block. The inside threads are made to fit the sensor. They know what to do--they are just being lazy.A helicoil is a small tube threaded on the outside to fit in the newly cut but larger threads in the block. This totally depends on how Much "Hard Driving" that you do. Offroad, 4x4 all the Time, ETC.... If you do I would Change at every 50,000 If not Every 80,000 is OK

On 3.0L OHV engines, the oil pressure sensor is located on the left
side of the engine block above the flywheel. On 3.0L DOHC engines the
sensor is located on the left side of the engine block above the oil
filter. On 3.4L DOHC engines the sensor is screwed into the oil filter
adapter. The oil pressure sensor operates the oil pressure warning lamp.

Hope help with this (remember rated this help). Good luck.
The oil light on your car has nothing to do with oil level in the crankcase but rather oil pressure. The oil pressure switch/sensor is located on the rear of the engine block above the right axle I believe. Unless you have engine noise or suspect low oil pressure, I'd replace it but you could check oil pressure for peace of mind with an pressure gauge if you wish. You may need a special socket to replace it.
