Check the hose that goes to the brake booster first if it only does it when your pressing on the brake pedal.

2002 Pontiac Sunfire SE problems after replacing fuel pump.

Question edited for clarity, add maker.
Question moved to model category.

When you replaced the fuel pump, did you disconnect the battery? If you did, did you reset the security system and engine immobilizer?

My 99 pontiac sunfire check engine light came on as I give it gas its really bogging stalling ?

You need to check engine codes to determine which circuit is giving you the problem. Have a visual inspection under the hood to make sure no hoses etc are disconnected

Code po172(loss of power) on 2002 pontiac sunfirer

Possible causes
- Faulty front heated oxygen sensor
- Ignition misfiring
- Faulty fuel injectors
- Exhaust gas leaks
- Incorrect fuel pressure
- Faulty Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor
My bet would be dirty fuel injectors, Try putting fuel injector cleaner in your tank next time you fill up.

Drive vehicle down the road for 20 minutes and come to a stoplight engine stops when you take foot off gas peddle and go to apply brake. To keep vehicle from dying you have to hold the gas peddle down

Have you changed the timing belt? or timing belt guides? How many miles? This does not necessarily have to do with fuel.... Could have to do with air intake or timing as well....

My 95 Sunfire keeps blowing the fuse for the turn signals as soon as i start the car. And the car also hesitates when i accelerate the but stops whem i reach very high rpm's. It is a standard. Ive replaced...

Sounds like a dead short on a low amp cicuit. If it doesn't buck when you don't use the turn signals. Then it is a short. this could interfere with the electric gas pump. If the two problems are unrelated, confirm firing order of the spark plugs and check s/p leads.

96 pontiac sunfire bogs down and dies when I apply the gas.

as far as the bogging and dieing,it sounds like the tps.a simple trottle body service would fix that.for your new problem you need to some test before pointing to a salution.start the car and cover your tail pipe.as pressure builds it push you hand off.a clogged cat will put to much back pressure on the engine.i would un plug the mass air flow sensor and try running the car.this will turn on the check engine light.check your air filtter and plugs.also check your wires.a nother test is a coil strees test.(you have to go to a shop for this)if the car runs ok with no load but spitts and sputters in drive you may have a openning coil.checking with a meter only works if it does not run.last but not least while you at the shop, have them check your timing.a faulty cam sencer will bog the car down with bad timing advancement but not throw a code.
hope this helps, remember to keep it simple, expensive elec. parts are not always the problem
