2006 ford focus. I have installed new alternator and new battery but my battery light is still on

Checking for B+ volatge at the heavy gage wire on the back of the alternator an the smaller gage red wire in the connector pin #3 . Without B+ voltage at those wire's it won't work . The other two wire's in the connector come from the PCM - engine computer . Computer controlled charging system .

Check wiring to alternator and make sure you have a 12v feed to the unit and that alternator has a good earth. Goodluck

could have wrong amp alternator or battery could have short in alternator field wires or battery feed wire or damage.bad battery cables cause high resistance in charging circuit.

Check charging system light for 2006 ford taurus

You would need to check the connections on the back of the alternator with a meter.
You should have battery voltage on the large wire and on the orange yellow wire.
The other two wires involve the engine computer which turns the alternator on after the engine starts.

There is problem in my new alternator its same the old one with 3 wires but it is not work

Why would you even try that without asking that at the parts store
& having them both tested?

2006 Ford Tarus Over Charging from Alternator

Could be a pinched wire that did not show up when new. May have worked thin over the years.... Though to locate at times..... Bulk head headers can be a culprit, any where a wire passes through or over metal parts. Check for corrosion near battery terminals and alternator as a corroded connector can be "seen" as a resistance to the alternator and it will output more amps to compensate.....

2006 Ford Taurus. Not getting any voltage from alternator to battery. Battery is brand new and I have changed the alternator twice.

look for a fusable link (fusible wire) between the alternator and battery .. check grounding strap from engine to chassis/battery neg

No they don't, the cases look the same but they have part numbers, so the internal parts and how the trans is operated is different. Here are the part numbers. Many of the big parts may interchange.
