Check under the seat for broken wires. Forward and backwards is the function most used and causes the wires to bend back and forth. you may need to remove the seat for inspection or you may be lucky and see the problem just by raising the seat as high as it will go.
check for the release wire fully releasing the lock on that side. when you pull on the release lever it is to pull both release locks so the seat will move.
Check to make sure you don't have something stuck in the seat rails(change etc,)Does it have any movement..Please leave more info in the comments section Thanks
The problem lies in the drivers side seat, the heating element for the back of the seat or the seat heating element has an open or shorted circuit. the part from ford will run you about $150.00 dollars.
