1986 chevy 350 5.7L K5 After installing a new fuel pump, fuel filter and thermostat the truck won't idle like it did before the fuel pump went out,

I broke 2 out of 4 vacuum ports on the tvs sensor ontop of the thermostat housing, can I bypass any vacuum lines to get the engine to run smoother

Overheating problems for 1987 chevy K5 Blazer

Is it possible the replacement engine has a water pump that turns the opposite direction from the original ?
The thermostat has to be open to allow flow thru the radiator, have you tried running without a thermostat to check flow ?

Installed new fuel pump on 1986 chevy s 10, have jiuce to all wires. pump will not work

if what you say is true and you have the correct voltage..12v to the pump, then the pump you install is bad or it has a faulty ground wire in the system.

The engine turns but the car won,t start.

You will need to check for fuel pressure or dirty filter. If you do not have fuel pressure; be sure to check fuses or any relay pertaining to fuel pump (if electric). If fuses and relays are good check or replace fuel filter. If the fuel pump is mechanical disregard fuses & relays and check or replace fuel filter. If this does not resolve the problem then the problem could be the fuel pump if mechanical, If its an electric fuel pump it could be a fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump, crimped fuel line or other wiring issue.

These are the most common things I run across, oh, a crimped fuel line can cause the problem in either case electric or mechanical. Hope this helps in some way, been awhile sense I worked with an older car.

454 on chevy won't idle

Did you check your timing? You may have the timing to advanced to compensate for the clogged filter, change your timing and then see if it will idle.
