THERE ARE 4 CORNERS OF THE CAR
AND 2 LAMP IN THE DASH FOR TURNS SIGNALS
ALL 4 CORNER HAZARD LAMPS BLINK? CORRECT?
BUT THEN ONLY LEFT TURNS FAIL ONLY ON THE LEFT SIDE OF CAR FRONT AND REAR ALL FAIL. LEFT SLIDE .
IS THIS CORRECT?
IF YES THE TURNS SWITCH (ITS INTERNAL PART) IS BAD.
Lets start at the beginning. The turn signals and brake lights use different fuses but both go thru the turn signal switch and use the same bulbs. Have you checked the fuses for each circuit and does each switch have power in and out ?
The turn signal flasher and hazard flasher are different parts. The turn signal flasher can be hard to find and not always available from a parts store. On some models it is a dealer part.
If the lights come on but just do not flash, replace the flasher relay. Your Thunderbird has 2 flasher relays. One for the Turn signals and one for the Hazard lights. The turn signal relay is located Front seating area, driver side, under dash, driver side of steering column, mounted in lower corner of fuse block . The hazard relay is located Front seating area, driver side, under dash, driver side of steering column, mounted in rear of fuse block. Replace the one for the Turn Signals.Information Curtorsey Auto Zone.
