!997 Ford Thuderbird brake lights and hazards do not work

Lets start at the beginning.
The turn signals and brake lights use different fuses but both go thru the turn signal switch and use the same bulbs.
Have you checked the fuses for each circuit and does each switch have power in and out ?

I have tail lights, brake lights, and hazard flashers but no turn signals even though replaced switch and checked fuses

The turn signal flasher and hazard flasher are different parts.
The turn signal flasher can be hard to find and not always available from a parts store. On some models it is a dealer part.

The blinkers on are ford don't work we tried to but in fuses but all the fuses work

If the lights come on but just do not flash, replace the flasher relay. Your Thunderbird has 2 flasher relays. One for the Turn signals and one for the Hazard lights. The turn signal relay is located Front seating area, driver side, under dash, driver side of steering column, mounted in lower corner of fuse block . The hazard relay is located Front seating area, driver side, under dash, driver side of steering column, mounted in rear of fuse block. Replace the one for the Turn Signals. No turn signals

Check the multi function switch (turn signal/hazard) . Dirt gets in the contacts and causes your concern.Replace the multi function switch.

Location of flasher for turn signal

  1. Access the COMBINATION Turn Signal and Hazard INDICATOR FLASHER on the Left-Hand (drivers) side of the instrument panel in the fuse junction panel.
  1. Remove turn signal flasher/hazard indicator flasher by pulling indicator flasher straight out.
  1. To install, align the terminals of the flasher and press into place.
