I have a 95 Galant. I was driving car and it lost power. Car is not firing. We have changed fuel pump, checked fuses and relays and still nothing. What else could be the problem?

check fuses and relays fuel pumps pressurize for a couple of seconds then hum stops -check for pressure at fuel rail - power at relay and power to and at pump and inspect the connections at each and pump is in fuel tank but with rear seat access remove rear seat and access plate -and fuel pump will be right in front of you 02 galant fuel pump Yahoo Video Search Results
Hi Matt, despite it being difficult to diagnose from a distance, you've given some good information. After you replaced the fuel pump, do you hear it begin to build up pressure when you turn the key on? If not, then one likely cause is the fuse for the fuel pump. If the fuel pump is operating properly, the the issue would probably be related to the injectors - that's where I'd look on my car. And because it's not likely that all of the injectors have failed at once, then the fuse or a relay would be the likely culprit.
Lets start at the beginning. The engine computer grounds the pump relay. The relay gets power from the EFI relay when the key switch is on and from the starter fuse when the key switch is in the start position. Do you know if the pump relay is getting power from both sources and a ground from the computer ? Can you run a hot wire to the blue black wire going to the pump and keep it running ?
Power to the pump is provided by the relay for the first 3 or 5 seconds to build pressure back up to start. Once the 5 seconds are past, the relay is grounded by the computer IF it sees oil pressure or crank signals. This helps prevent a fire if the car is in a wreck. If it still won't start with the pump relay bypassed, you would check for spark and see if the computer is getting a crank signal.
Check for 12 volts power at the fuel pump harness. If no power is going to the pump, check the fuel pump relay. Also, check the fuel pump inertia switch. Ford usually has it on either inside left or right rear trunk fenders.
