SOURCE: 99 model Expedition

I would say that the leveling sensor is most likely bad. But it won't matter untill you figure out why the compressor isn't working. You need to pick up a service manuel at the parts store, if you don't want to buy one somtimes you can check one out at the library. I am guessing and thats all I'm doing is that the leveling sensor is in front of the compressor and is not giving information to the compressor. Good Luck.

I would take the vin# and code to the local dealer and ask them -this information is free from them - also check on any recalls or SB's while there.

Service air bag

I would not mess with an air bag. If something happens it could deploy and is very dangerous and also it is very expensive to have reinstalled if it does. However, if you do decide the remove the airbag you must disconnect your battery at least 30 minutes prior to attempting to remove it.

YOU HAVE TO TURN OFF RADIO TO KEEP FROM LOSING RADIO PLAYING CODE THEN YOU DISCONNECT NEGATIVE BATTERY FOR 15 TO 20 MINUTES TO DISCHARGE AIR BAGS.
