What do you mean by saying the left side of your (singular) headlight is not working? Is the right side of that SAME headlight working? Do your headlights have dual or twin filaments in each one? Or do you mean that the left entire headlight is not working, but the right side headlight is working okay? Please clarify your opening statement.
It's possibe since much of the work is done on that side. Battery and intake need to come out on the drivers side. Possible a wire connection was left disconnected. Check fuses too and wires at the back of the headlight.
Had a similar question a few days ago and it turned out to be a earth or ground in colonial english which is behind one of the headlights under the bonnet sorry hood in colonial english as correctly pointed out on gas monkey garage the other night on TV but check the ground connection behind the headlight but i cannot remember which side but have a look and iam sure you will find it as i have no practical experiance of this vehilce sorry but our europeon vehicles are normally smaller and a diesel engine
well all i can say is he is not much of a mechanic for not fixing it for you so i suggest you find a better one ,sorry to sound so hard but ?? Their is always a way around any problem if going back to basics to know the problem ,no power ? then re run a new cable from the switch ,easy or am i being over simplistic here. What would have happened if i hadnt got the lorries to run and be on the road when the drivers start work at 07.00 in the morning .i would have been out of work ,fired ,sacked or whatever you want to call it
Check the fuses. I do believe there is a left and right side fuse for the headlamps. For some reason toyotas, especially highlanders, like to blow the fuses when the headlights burn out.
Well, if you truly believe they are dim, voltage drop test on the power side of the headlight circuit, and then on the ground side. Separately. If there is excessive voltage drop in the wiring, that would cause dim headlights.
If the headlights and dash are dim when u turn multiple electrical items on, then it is a bad Electrical Load Detector(ELD)
