2002 dodge dakota v6 3.9L starts but stalls immediatley

I know this sounds weird but change the battery. I had the same thing happen on my Dodge Dakota. When the battery is bad the alternator doesn't put out enough juice at 1000 rpm to keep the electronic ignition going.

two things from what I read is the tps sensor and iac valve

i would suggest a tempature related fault check etc (engine tempature control ) switch

So what are you loosing when the engine dies ?
Spark to the plugs ?
Fuel to the injectors ?

might try replacing the starter.is really a guess without hearing and seeing it......could be so many things....sorry and good luck

as for the stalling issue i can't think of anything that would cause that, possibly a vacuum leak?

It could be the AC Compressor, or the idle air valve

it could be your timing chain and gears going out.

has your diesel waxed up with teh cold sounds like it
