Chevy hhr 2.2 ecotec help i have exhaust smoke pouring out of my oil dip stick tube i just changed the oil?

There is excess pressure in the sump, which means most likely it has worn piston rings. Get a compression test done on it to see this.

Unless you have lift that can pick the vehicle up into the air , your best bet take to oil change , quick lube , tranny shop ect.... No dip stick tube on these . Plug on side of transaxle .

What color smoke white means coolant, blue means oil, black means burning too much gas. Who did the head gasket? Check for oil in the coolant. This could mean a bad head gasket install or a cracked block. If you have blue smoke you have worn piston rings

is it an automatic? if it is you pour it in the same tube the dip stick for transmission is,, check the level while engine is running and car is in park. if its low then add fluid as needed.

My 95 chevy camaro 3.4 v6 leaking trani fluid smokes when it hits exhaust pipe

wow really it needs to be fixed not this bull , it is either the gasket leaking , ck to see if it is wet with fluid around the pan sometimes you can tighten the bolts , but just snug do not overtighten and break them or change the gasket , chevys are known for the little seal ring around the dip stick tube drying out and leaking , see if it is wet with fluid at the base of the dip stick tube where it goes into the trans , if so take the one bolt that holds it in out and just pull out the tube be carful just rock it back and forth a little bit and pull like hell it will come out put some grease on the new o ring and push it back in , good luck ,

Why does my HHR smoke at idle?

check the manifold gaskets, upper and lower. maybe they are bad and coolant is mixing with the oil, and burning it up and throwing it out the exhaust pipe, witch will cause it to smoke. check the oil to see if coolant is entering it. on dip stick, also check to see if coolant in recovery tank has oil in it. I had a problem with oil getting to coolant, on a 2000 malibu, changed gaskets and did a good flush. before filling it back up with coolant. No problems it run good. Good-Day!

Locate the dipstick tube to check the trans oil and remove the dip stick and put the oil down the tube. Replace the dip stick and check the level when you think you have enough in the tranny. Hope this helps.

White smoke means water on exhaust or gasket broken; check coolant levels ok. or re adjuts gasket.

How to refill oil in transmission for Dodge caravan 1995 (automatic transmission)?

You refill the transmission through the dip stick tube. Make sure you don't over fill the transmission though, that's just as bad as having low transmission fluid levels.
