I replaced my cars battery and now my autostart remote starter does not function at all. is their a way to quickly reprogram it ?

The act of replacing the battery will not damage or effect Remote start up or ECM functions. Either this is a coincidence or when the Battery was replaced you inadvertently affected a ground strap. Ground straps are placed against painted panels. These panels can arc because of poor contact surface area. A poor ground will affect different on-board systems. Please start there. The autostart feature utilizes the same circuits that the ignition key uses to start the vehicle. The only difference is the autostart system bypasses the anti theft circuit at the ignition switch. If you can duplicate the symptoms consistently and are sure the autostart system is affecting ignition operations. These issues would go back to the PCM. Ignition voltage could be affected by a short or faulty component. The trouble code is a misfire code to cylinder number three.

Reprogram your remote, it's in your owners manual.

Try turning the Prostart off, then on with the little toggle switch. Check that the hood pin switch is working as it should

usually it need reset by the dealer or some remote start installers can fix it..

Check to be sure the new battery is a good new one, they set on the shelves for some time ya know. Then make sure it goes in the correct direction.Then refer to your owners manual if it needs reprogrammed.

go back to where u got the remote start put in.

make sure the button inside the remote makes contact with the outer plastic, might want to open it an try to press it an see if it works...!

you will need to have the remote reprogrammed probably at the dealer
