Hi
Sometimes, if a compressor fails i have fitted a shorter belt and changed the belt run.
It rwall depends on the car, your experience and the time you have to check the run and work out the new belt size.
All pulleys must rotate the correct way

Im tryin to find out how to let tension off serpatime belt on 2000 chrysler sebring convertible

Depending on which engine you have, there should be a spring loaded tensioner pulley that you move with a large breaker bar. The tensioner should have a 1/2 inch drive square hole or a bolt for a socket.

Can I get a drive belt to by pass the ac unit on a 2004 2.7l sebring touring

Check with the dealer they may supply a dummy AC pulley which replaces the AC pulley and allows the normal belt to be used

Can a belt be purchased to by-pass the air conditioning pump in a 2000 mercury sable? the pump is bad and I don't want to use the AC anyhow.

no they did not use a different belt, there is a bypass pulley where the AC pump sets now, just order the AC delete
pulley, not very expensive, u will need to remove the old pump. You can also go to the link to buy the pulley you need.

What size of belt can I use on a ford Windstar 2000 3.8L if i want to bypass the a/c compressor.

You may have a problem finding that info out, but an easy way to do it if you can see and reach it, is to make a mark with chalk on the power steering pulley, as well as crankshaft pulley, then run a string or similar from the mark on power steering pulley, around AC compressor pulley, and down to mark on crankshaft, then measure that distance. Now run same string from power steering pulley mark, directly to crankshaft pulley mark, (by-passing AC pulley), and measure that as well. Subtract by-passed length from, non by-passed, will give you the difference in length. Now when you go to parts store for new belt, they can give you a belt that is that much shorter than original one listed. The actual belt part # usually tells the length in it. Just subtract your difference from original, and ask for that length, same design. Sounds pretty complicated, I know, but it really isn't. You used to be able to just say" give me the one for the same vehicle without AC", but most vehicles have AC now, so it isn't quite that easy anymore. Make sure you take a good look and be sure you have the clearance so belt doesn't hit/rub on AC pulley during operation.

Possible plugged AC drain (Chrysler Sebring)

If you are getting clear liquid, with the A/C on, then you have a clogged drain tube. If it is green or reddish, you have a bad heater core. Should be able to have someone blow out the drain tube to clear it out.
