Hopefully it will be in the circuit itself, try this install the fues with the MAF disconnected does the scan tool say high input,(how did you know it was low input),dont start it it does the scan tool show 5vlt ? Either of this way you have a grounded wire from power distirbution that goes to the MAF this wire is from power the distribution box or (engine fuse box goes that goes to MAF and is grounded . This is why you Ignition fuse blows to option fix and find this short or have someone who know how and is qualified to subsituted for another wire from Ignition to MAF ignition circuit at the power juction box (engine fuse box)
Hi,if you know where the fues box is your half way there.
just buy a electricle screwdriver that has a light inside it with a wire that has got a crockerdile clip on the end,
put the cockerdile clip on a earth the body of the car,
then look at the fues on the top of the fues there is two little bits of metal these are where you will put the screwdriver blade to,
if yoy put the ignition on then go back to the fuesestuch one side of the fues on the little bit of metal the screwdriver should light,This is the power side, now if you tuch the screwdriver on the other bit of metal the light should come on again,if it dose the fues is ok,
if not the fues is falty(replace fues)do this to all the fueses and you will find the fues that is falty.
all the best.
2001 ford f350, there are two fuse boxes, one ine cab under the dash and another one in the engine compartment, on driverside near firewall, heres the diagrams and fues locations for both hope this is helpful, also this is for gas motor not diesel.
I have never heard that theory before. Do the dash lights or any power come on at all? Lets check the ignition fuse first. Under the dash to your left or right should be a fuse box. Look at the diagram on the box cover or under the cover. Find the one that says ignition. If you do not have the diagram then you will need to check every fuse one at a time being sure to replace them back to there own spot. If you run across a burnt fuse then don't stop there. replace that one with the same amp fuse that came out of it. Some fuse boxes came with extra fuses in it. Have a look and see if you get lucky. You will know the fuse is bad if the little wire inside is melted in two. After replacing that fuse then go to the next one. When one fuse goes there are times when the domino effect happens and two maybe 3 others go as well. Not always but lets be sure. After you have been through all of the fuses there with no luck then lets check under the hood. The fuses are usually located in a seal box towards the back and on top of the wheel well some where. Pop the lid up and check them out. They will be bigger fues and most of the time will have clear windows to look through. There may be a diagram on the cover on the outside top as well. You should also see one that says ignition.
Ok after you have done all of this annoying troublesome labor see if it starts. If not we are going to try one last thing. reset the computer. Please remember I am trying to help you and I am not positive on what has happened here. So bare with me. All of this is benificial mantenance anyways.
Let me know if we fixed it or not and I will continue with the last test of computer reset. Good Luck, Raz
