I have a peugeot 206 grand tourisme and was driving and parked up, i then went to start it and it wouldn't. it sounded like the battery was flat but checked the charge and it was fine. i then jump started it but as soon as i released the throttle it died, jump started it again and kept the revs up and had a little drive and it then seemed fine and didn't cut out and stared again after turning it off. what do you think the problem could be?

Why does my peugeot 206 not start when it is parked on a slope but will on the flat, also loses power when going uphill

Your going to have to check the fuel sending unit in the tank. The hose between the pump and top of the unit could be cracked and pulling air on the slop or up hill.

Dashboard fault

I too have a Peugeot 206 - and has given me nothing but grief - mostly electrical.

The fact you are suddenly losing systems, and draining battery points to a short in the wiring loom - which is a common fault on pugs.

I advise you trace the wire from the rear heater to the fusebox (it's labeled in there). Use a cheap multimeter - pull the fuse out and check the wiring both to the heater (resistance to good earth) and the supply( check for 12V )with the switch on. You may end up undoing the loom cover in the engine bay - but check your feet area first for any damaged wires. Try wiggling the loom with the ignition switch on and in neutral to find the problem. Often just taping it up properly solves it.

Check the alternator belt for proper tension. Also check alternator voltage output. If output is low the rest of the systems can fail.
