Finding the crankshaft sensor on the Infiniti Q45 2004

There is nothing that backs up memory. When you disconnect the battery, all memory is lost, which is why it is important not to do it!

You don't tell us the model? Is it a secret? All questions need 'year make model' as the FIRST 3 words.

If your have a 1999 Infinity I30, the ECM Fuse is Fuse 58.

You really never need the part number, because you order by 'year make model'. Sometimes they will ask for VIN Number, but not often. Or you go into the dealership parts department and you just ask for one.

The crank sensor is located at the driver side rear of the engine. it is bolted to the transmission bell housing. Here is a diagram of it's location.

is on the bell housing driver side near the engine block

when a crank sensor goes bad it can make the motor not run right or shut down this tells the ecm the postion of the crank and works in junction with the cam postion sensor as well as if the crank sensor has a crack in it it could over heat the sensor and shut down the motor. they are usually in expesive to purchase a crank sensor and fairly simple to change

It's positioned near the left side of the crankshaft pulley at the front of the engine. If you slide under the front bumper you can see it and remove it from there

you have to take belt,crankshaft pulley.

shift solonoid b is in the transmission. not a do it
yourself situation. clear the codes and drive , see
if it comes back before you take it in for repair.

also check wiring going to trans. look for broken
wires and wires that are rubbed through
