I have a 2007 Pontiac Torrent FWD with a violent low speed vibration. we have replaced the lower control arm assembly and the hub bearings along with the brake pads and rotors.
The vibration shows up on warm weather days and is sometimes goes away after a little while of highway driving. It can only be felt in the accelerator pedal and somewhat in the steering wheel. My next step is either the struts or the CV axles. What should be the next course of action?

Struts would not cause vibration problems, A CV joint could, turn your vehicle in a parking lot hard right, make a circle than turn left make a circle ,if you hear a noises you have a cv joint problem. If you feel vibration on the steering wheel its in the front, if you feel it in the seat its in the rear.
Tires out of round & Balance very common as well brake rotors cause vibrations.

Adjustment
Check the backlash in bearing shaft direction and the axle hub deviation. Maximum for backlash should be 0.0020 in. (0.05mm) and for axle hub deviation 0.020 in. (0.05mm).

Adjust the parking brake.
Stabilize the suspension as follows :
Install the wheel(s).
Lower the vehicle and bounce it up and down several times to stabilize the rear suspension.
Raise the vehicle.
Remove the wheel.
Jack up the rear lower suspension armplacing a wood block in between. Apply a load to the suspension so that the lower suspension arm is plkaced in a horizontal position.
Fully tighten the No. 1 rear upper control arm assembly to 119 ft. lbs. (161 Nm).
Fully tighten the No. 1 rear suspension arm assembly to 70 ft. lbs. (95 Nm).
Fully tighten the No. 2 rear suspension arm assembly to 119 ft. lbs. (161 Nm).

Remove the snapring, then press the wheel bearing out of the axle carrier.

Stabilizer Bar
Removal & Installation
Remove the rear wheels.
Remove the 2 nuts and left stabilizer bar link. If the ball joint turns together with the nut, use a hexagon wrench (5 mm) to hold the stud. Repeat for the right side.
Remove the 8 bolts, 2 No. 1 brackets and 2 bushings. Two types of bolts are used, so make sure the correct bolts are installed.
Remove the stabilizer bar.
To install:
Install the stabilizer bar.
Install the bushing and bracket with the 2 bolts and tighten to 14 ft. lbs. (19 Nm). Install the bushing to the inner side of the bushing stopper on the stabilizer bar.
Connect the stabilizer bar links and tighten the nuts to 29 ft. lbs. (39 Nm). Repeat for the right side.
Install the rear wheels.
Inspect and adjust rear wheel alignment.
Strut & Coil Spring
Removal & Installation
Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions section.
Remove or disconnect the following:
CAUTION
Do NOT remove the center nut to the strut at this time. The spring on the strut is under high pressure and can cause serious injury.

Place jackstands under the cradle and lower the vehicle slightly so the weight of the vehicle rests on the jackstands and not on the control arms.
Remove the wheel assembly.
Insert a drift punch into the rotor and remove the hub nut/washer.
Remove the brake caliper, support and the rotor.
Using the front hub spindle remover tool, separate the halfshaft from the hub.
Remove the hub/bearing assembly-to-steering knuckle bolts and the hub/bearing assembly.
To install:
If replacing the seal, drive the seal towards the engine. Cut the seal off the halfshaft; be careful not to damage the halfshaft boot.
NOTE: If the speed sensor bracket is removed or loosened from the steering knuckle, the speed sensor gap must be adjusted. If the speed sensor is removed from the bracket, speed sensor wax must be applied to the sensor before it is reinstalled in the bracket. Failure to apply the wax will permit corrosion and may result in sensor failure.
To install the new grease seal, lubricate the with wheel bearing grease and using the hub seal installer tool, install the seal.
Install the hub/bearing assembly-to-steering knuckle bolts and the hub/bearing assembly. Tighten the hub/bearing assembly-to-steering knuckle bolts to 70 ft. lbs. (95 Nm).
Install the halfshaft to the hub.
Install the rotor and caliper.
Install the hub nut and washer. Tighten to 183 ft. lbs. (245 Nm).
2001 Pontiac Grand Am 2.4L SFI DOHC 4cyl Vehicle Speed Sensor - Location: The speed sensors are built right into the wheel bearings of your vehicle, at the front and rear locations. They work
both with the anti-lock brakes and with the traction control systems on
the vehicle.
Removal & Installation Front The
front wheel speed sensor is part of the hub/bearing assembly. Refer to
Wheel Hub and Bearing Replacement in Front Suspension for service
procedures. Rear The rear wheel speed sensor is part of
the hub/bearing assembly. Refer to Wheel Hub and Bearing Replacement in
Rear Suspension for service procedures.

Tie rod ends do not have bushings (ball and socket like your hip). If vibration begins at 50-55 but goes away at slightly higher speed, it could be caused by wheel balance. Once balance has been checked jack up each front wheel and shake them back and forth and check for any loose steering components. If reasonably tight, My guess is that you have a bad hub bearing. If you don't know how to change them, get a manual to guide you (chiltons or haynes are OK for this). Pretty much it is a bolt out bolt in procedure and not terribly difficult except that sometimes the hub is rusted in and is a bear to get out. Need any help with that, just ask. Note...many bad hub bearings show no obvious defects...but can create a strong vibration...just determine which side is noisy and change it. Scrapyard parts are inexpensive and generally fairly reliable as replacements.
Absolutely; wasn't positive until you mentioned the 'hum'. Bad bearings first warning sign is usually the humming noise before the vibration but since you have both, I'd be shocked if it weren't the bearinig, especially since you've got new rotors. In the past, a badly turned or warped rotor would mimic a bad bearing. Best of luck.
