SOURCE: timing chain noise 2005 cavalier 2.2 ecotec

Just the guide is probably making the noise. So either a new guide or a new chain. I would start with guide first, unless chain looks loose or cruddy

SOURCE: how to change the spark plugs on my 2004 2.2 liter

there is a flat plastic box between the dohc that says ecotec on it. it is to the left of the oil fill cap. there are four fasteners on it i believe... possibly two... but remove them and you might have to bend the steel bracket that is above it out of the way to pull it off. it is important to pull straight up as the spark plug boots are attached to the cover and need to be un-seated. once that is off put a spark plug socket on the spark plugs (they have foam inserts to hold the plug from falling out) or use a regular deep socket and once loose take a small piece of tubing or hose and stick it on top of the spark plug, then unscrew it with the tube. to reinstall either use a sparkplug socket or use the tube to start the threads... DO NOT CROSS THREAD and DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. try to remember how tight they were when you took them out. then push the cover back on making sure the boots line up with the plugs and reattach with the fasteners and bend that steel bracket back down.

good luck if you need further assistance let me know

Where is the camshaft position sensor on a 2002 chevy cavalier 2.2 ecotec ls sport

From the internet search. This is on the back side of the engine. Crankshaft position sensor is near the oil filter. Camshaft position sensor is straight above.

Does a 2003 cavalier have timing belt or chain?

Most overhead valve engines have a belt. You need to get your engine size, make, model and year and call your local parts house and they can tell you this for sure.

I am looking for the markings for a timing...chain...i just did a head replacement....and i realize now..that there are no markings on the timing chain........it has washed off...it's a 2003 chevy cavalier...

Man, that's a hard one for me, but what I would try, is go to an auto part, see if they would let you see one, so you can mark yours, I'am sure they will let you, good luck, sorry could not help much, just an idea.

Need to see a picture of a 2003 Cavaliers engine. To check out what looks like a missing hose.

Yes its a Ecotec then all you have to do is go to a dealership and pop the hood on a Chevy Cobalt or google images of 2.2l ecotec engines they are popular enough to have a large aftermarket following so there should be plenty of pics
