97 toyota camry 189000 mi check engine lights on 2 codes p0171 and p1133 any common or the most likely source of the problem any advice would be helpful thank you

hi the codes you have given register as the o2 sensor, if the vehicle is running ok then this is what it will be, the other things that the po171 come up with are major faults and the car would run very roughly, and in some cases not at all, the codes are saying you have a short circuit on the wiring for the o2 sensor which normally means the sensor is u/s and needs replacing ...hope this helps

1996 olds cutlas supreme, 3.1 L has trouble codes PO171 and PO300. Any Ideas?

The po300 is a misfire code. This means there is probably a plug, plug wire, ignition coil,or ignition module.Check the coil towers one at a time. These are know for corroding. If you find one that is corroded then replace the plug wire also.Po171 is a lean condition code. The po300 could be causing the po171.If you have not had a tune up Now would be a good time.Hope this helps.Good luck.

Fault codes, PO300, PO171 and PO174

The Po300 is a random misfire code where the PCM is picking up the misfires. The other two codes are lean mixture codes. More than likely these are due to bad intake manifold gaskets allowing unmetered air to enter the engine causing the engine to lean out and possibly run a little rough when cold.

Codes 1133-0131-0171-0300

p1133 - o2 sensor, Insufficiant Switching, Bank 1 Sensor 1.
p0131 - o2 sensor circuit, low voltage, bank 1 sensor 1
p0171 - Lean condition, Bank 1
p0300 - Random Misfire

I would be looking at the front passenger side oxygen sensor for issues. It may be bad, it may not be plugged in, bad wiring at harness.

The random misfire may be symptomatic of the o2 sensor problem.
