2006 h3 dome light will not turn off - 2006 Hummer H3

Check switch on the brake pedal,check globes in the rear of car have power going to them,you will need a test light to test them.

Dealer Checked my Hummer. They said all H3's have the same problem ...

Start with simple. Check the fuse panel. Your owners manual will have a troubleshooting section that will tell what fuses are for what cuircuts. Be observant, these days they put ODD things in same cuircuts and it may not list "dome light" in the listing. Think of other things it may call it, like Curtisey lights , or even Security.

The thermostat.is on the left side of the engine under the back of the alternator. You have to go through the wheel well to get to it. Stupid place to put it. It's not easy to get to.

My 2006 Hummer H3 is not coming out of lock position. Indicator light says its in the normal 4 wheel drive but it doesn't feel like that when i am making a hard turn. I tried driving in reverse as well as letting it sit in the garage overnight. What is prob?

Have you checked the dimmer knob for the dashboard lights? If the 2006 Fords are like my (a bit older) Fords, then turning the dashboard lights to the brightest setting will turn on the dome light. Just turn the knob a bit to the left and the dome lights should turn off.

on your headlight switch turn dash lights up till "click" dome light comes on

I read a service bulletin about door ajar light and power locks cycling while driving which i assume might actuate dome light as well.... rec. fix per service bulletin adjust "swing gate " striker
