Question about 2003 Ford Focus
Jack up rear wheels spin each one to check noise , if one is noisy check the brake shoes for a broken spring or other damage.

Most likely it's a wheel bearing going out.., If you turn to the right, or the left when driving the noise will change pitch. Been there done that.....

SOURCE: 2000 ford focus rear brakes
with a small flat head screw driver at the back of brakes there should be a adjusment nut turn one and half turns and it should bring in the shoes if the drum to loose turn it the other way the drum shold just slide on when the drum is on try spinning the drum if spins freely adjust untill you feel binding and just slacking off a bit

catalytic converter is probably rattling, they do that when they are on the way out, performance will be effected, as it block's, engine cant exhaut properly !
