SOURCE: Sun Roof won't open

There may be a way to open the sunroof manually by turning the motor with a tool. The motor could be broken and "free spinning" or it could be off track or something is stuck in the track. You just need to take it apart starting with the interior trim the rest should be pretty self explanitory. You may also be able to find a diagram on www.autozone.com.

SOURCE: sun roof stuck open

It seems to be that your cables have come off track or have became broken and/or bound. I'm assuming that this is the binding sound u have described.

Have you checked the parcel shelf is seated properly as there are micro switches beneath it so the car knows it will not jam the roof as it is lowered?

Dose any one know how to get in the boot of a Peugeot 206cc convertible when the key don't work on the boot

Various ideas here including a reset. These roofs can be problematic especially as your boot is full of roof, it is unlikely you can get the emergency release! Having the boot lock broken is particularly bad, and at times like this, I bet you wish you had fixed it. My friend has one. An auto locksmith might he able to open the lock.

My Peugeot 206cc boot lock is jammed and I can't open the boot

To open the boot from the inside is very simple: Pull down the back seat. You will see a dull metal hook on top in the small space between the lock on the boot and the plastic cover of the boot. Push upwards and the door will open. The panel covering the back door is held in with clips and can be easily removed by pulling away from the wipr first and pulling the rest away clip by clip: You will not break anything no matter how hard you pull. To put the panel back on just push the clips back in to place.

My sunroof is not able to be closed. It is in the pop up position. Is there a manual way to close it? eg no use of electricity?

there is no manual method. It sounds like a limit switch is not working. Can you hear the motor try to operate? If you push up on the back of the glass a little bit while hitting the switch, what happens.

Within the roof sliding panel housing, the spline is connected to two sliding roof panel cables which cause the roof sliding panel slide links to slide and the roof glass panel to open or to close. The sliding roof panel cables and the spline are part of the roof sliding panel housing. Neither the sliding roof panel motor nor the roof sliding panel housing can be disassembled. If a malfunction is detected with either of these assemblies, the assembly must be replaced.

My escort power hood stopped working

If you hear the motor then you can almost certainly rule out electrical issues, it souonds more likely that the roof panel or drive mechanism is jammed or stuck, If the roof is closed then push up on the rear of the sunroof and see if it "pops up" a bit then while still pushing up hit the button to open.If it is anywhere in between open and closed try pushing it open or pulling it closed while you are pushing the button,if it moves inspect the tracks and lubricate
