Sounds more like a battery supply or starter issue. Check the battery voltage - it should be 12.1 volts. If it is then check the battery and starter connections. Put a voltmeter on the battery and see what the voltage drops to when you try to start it. If it drops below 8 volts then the starter is drawing to much. Hope this helps

Idle of my suzuki vitara 1998, with j20 eng goes down when im standing at red light and feels its going to stall, ve cleaned throttle body and map sensor.
try taking your foot of the brake at the lights and see if it still dies
if not it is a vacuum leak from the brake booster.

What does the red oil light mean on 1998 deville. also car has oil in it. stop engine now light came on too. Why ?
If your oil light is on, it means that the control module thinks there is no oil pressure. It could be a bad oil pressure sending unit, or it could be that the oil pump is out and that the engine is actually not getting oil. The engine would need to have a mechanical gauge put on to find out if it does have pressure.

Oil light flickers at red light
If the oil warning light comes on, it means the oil pressure switch-sensor is faulty or your oil pressure really is dropping below 5 psi.
You would need to replace the sensor or have the oil pressure checked with a mechanical gauge to figure out the issue.

It's a crankshaft position sensor. the sensor itself is located right under your oil filter ans the wiring runs back up behind the top of the motor.

2007 Suzuki sx4 engine light on after oil changed, How to turn it off?
