It was raining, not hard but raining. Both lights came on and the used car lot where I purchased the car said it was the EGR valve. The had it blown out and cleared the code. Do you think this is accurate?

Thank you for your response. The light has not come back on but I haven't driven it in the rain again either. Yes it seems to be running well. It's a solid car for a 1999 edition with 105,000 miles on her. He also said that when he cleared the code it said DTC refer to the owners manual. I don't know what that means but I'm watching the car very closely.

Has the light come back on? Is it running well...If so, they did something to fix the problem or it would be back!
