Hi Allen, In addition to removing the covers did you remove anything else? If not, reassembling should do the trick. If yours is the engine with VANOS and Variable valve lift (with electronically controlled motor, make sure all connection and pick up sensors are good. If you've lost spark and injection, check the crankshaft and camshaft pickup sensors. Regards John

best thing is to buy a Chiltons manual for your car it has all the how to do stuff and for $20 it will save you time and hundreds of $.

Check the battery and see if voltage is dropping while you are trying to start it. Most likely the issue

It should be in your Manual, read it very carefully.

could be the thermostat, air lock in the system or head gasket

it came with a 90 ah battery and if you replace it you should have ot registered to the power module probably by a dealership or you can experience electrical issues

2006 bmw 530xi have a electric water pump (next to the thermostat). Common to go bad. There should be no heat in the car and "overheating" pops up. Electric water pump $495.00
