SOURCE: change hyundai accent 2001 front brake pads

Once the car is jacked up, remove the front tires, then whith a 12 wrench key, remove the bolt that is located on the rear side of the caliper, not the one holding the brake fluid line buth the one right next to it. Pry the brake pad holder off and then remove the brake pads themselves. You will need to press the caliper's piston in, to be able to fit new brake pads since new pads will be thicker.

SOURCE: how take off pins not bolts on caliper 87 Ford Ranger front brake

The pins / wedges just tap out use a scewdriver on the metal edge of the pin just tap it out to the rear and when putting them back in just tap them back in from the front. You will see they are diamond shape and metal cased around rubber very easy to do just take your time.

SOURCE: how to replace rear brakes on a 2007 ford

I had the same problem ... seemed the assembly was too thick to fit back in. I ended up nipping off the end hook (with a grinder) of one of the pads so it could slide in. Once in, the pad can't come out anyway.

How to replace front brake pads for a 2000 expedition

raise and support the front ,remove both tires , there is two bolts on the backside of the caliper,I find it easier to pry on the back pad to drive the piston so you can wiggle the caliper off,do not let the caliper hang by the hose look at both sides of the rotor if they have groves they need to be turned if they are ok then you need to push the piston back into the caliper use a c clamp(loosen the bleeder valve on the caliper it makes it easier) put the pads on the rotor then put caliper back on and thighten bolts. repeat on other side. ( might pay to get a repair manuel if you have any doubts)

Front Brake Installation 1999 Ford Explorer Sport

Well, the bolts should be tight but the caliper should slide on the bolts. Another issue is that the pads should also slide in their grooves. My explorer built up some rust there which prevented their movement and cause the brakes to bind up.
